IASLC and PEACHealth Launch Lung Cancer Partnership

May 2025PEACHealth (formerly My Cancer Companion) and the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) launched a collaboration to accelerate the delivery of life-changing lung cancer information directly to patients.

The initiative focuses on transforming IASLC’s expert-led Lung Cancer Considered podcast episodes into patient-friendly summary articles, ensuring that vital clinical updates reach patients without unnecessary delay. To date, nine podcast episodes have been adapted into concise, accessible articles, each co-developed with the presenting authors to maintain accuracy while making the content understandable for patients. These articles are now available within the PEACHealth app.

This collaboration addressed a key challenge in cancer care: the slow trickle of new evidence from experts to clinicians, and from clinicians to patients. As treatment advances occur at an increasing pace, many patients lack timely access to the latest information needed to make informed decisions about their care.

By combining IASLC’s up-to-date clinical content with PEACHealth’s patient education platform, this partnership brings recent, practice-changing information directly to patients’ devices. The articles are designed to empower patients to discuss new options with their clinicians, enhancing shared decision-making and improving access to cutting-edge treatments.

The newly developed articles are available now through the PEACHealth app, which is free to download on the App Store and Google Play.
